Lynna Scott Diggs, DDS
Dr. Lynna Scott is a native of Indianapolis, IN. She is the 5th of 7 children born to Dr. & Mrs. Leonard S. Scott and one of six dentists in her family including her father who practiced dentistry for over 50 years before retiring! Suffice it to say, she loves taking care of people and their smiles.
Dr. Lynna received a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and completed her dental education at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. She joined the family dental practice in Indianapolis upon graduation from dental school and eventually became a partner with her father when she bought part of the practice from him. Several years later, she met andmarried her wonderful husband and moved to the Maryland area with him.
She wasn’t in Maryland long before moving to DFW with her spouse and young family. She worked at dental practices in Allen and Plano, TX prior to purchasing Castle Hills Dental in July 2024 from Dr. Franz Lucas. Dr. Lynna is elated for this new endeavor and even more excited to meet all of the long-time patients of Dr. Lucas and new patients alike. She brings to the practice over 17 years of dental experience and loves working with children, offering cosmetic dental services and is eager to introduce Invisalign and implants into the practice in the near future. Dr. Lynna is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is on track to become a Fellow of the Academy. She is passionate about learning and takes several dozen hours of continuing education in dentistry each year. She is also passionate about oral and overall health and enjoys convening with physicians and other health specialists to devise comprehensive health plans for her patients.
Dr. Lynna lives in the north suburbs of Dallas with her husband and children and attends One Community Church. She loves all things fine arts and fashion and even owns a women’s clothing boutique called feisty.L. She enjoys being involved with her kids and their activities, working out, sports, going on medical mission trips as well as serving and giving back to the community and world. She is excited to make an impact on the DFW community and beyond with her dental skills and expertise.
Castle Hills Founder: Franz Lucas, DDS
It was after his sons left that Dr. Lucas decided to focus on building his new practice in the premier residential community of Castle Hills. Continuing education in the advances of the dental field and his desire to always improve procedures and materials requires many hours of ongoing training. This requirement along with the growth of his new practice, and visiting, “The kids,” keep Dr. Lucas and Evelyn busy. When he has some free time he enjoys auto racing events, traveling and visiting his sons and grandson.
Dr. Lucas grew up in East Texas, son of German immigrants, whose father was an MD. It was this personal exposure to patient care and medicine that has given him a lifelong interest in healthcare. He chose the path of dentistry after testing showed strong aptitudes and skills necessary for the practice of dentistry and his natural need to work with his hands. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin University with a business degree he attended Baylor College of Dentistry. It was while at Baylor that he reunited with his high school sweetheart, Evelyn, and they wed shortly after graduating. They raised two sons, Sean and Kurt, while living and practicing in Carrollton since 1989. Dr. Lucas and Evelyn were both very active in their sons chosen sports until both boys went to college.
